The horse is depicted in fine detail with a flowing mane and raised foreleg, conveying a sense of controlled movement. The entire design is set within a plain incuse field, with a dotted border visible around the inner edge of the flan. The rendering is characteristic of early Syracusan die-cutting, with bold, well-modelled relief typical of the transitional Archaic-to-Early Classical period. |
