The god's flowing beard and hair are depicted with characteristic provincial artistry, merging Egyptian and Hellenistic divine attributes. The date regnal formula L K (Year 20, corresponding to the Egyptian regnal year 135–136 CE) appears in the field, serving as the primary chronological indicator on this issue. The broad, irregular bronze flan and bold relief typify the large-module drachm coinage of Hadrian's Alexandrian mint. |
