The king wears a diadem with ribbon ends falling behind the neck, and elaborate scale or mail armor is visible at the shoulder. Long, flowing hair falls in stylized locks behind the neck and ear. The effigy is rendered in a slightly schematic late Arsacid style, set within a border of pellets encircling the entire flan. |

| Opis rewersu | Arsaces I, the dynastic founder, seated in the traditional pose to the right on an omphalos throne, holding a strung bow in his extended right hand. The figure is rendered in the characteristic late Parthian schematic style.
