| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare head of the youthful Heracles in right profile, wearing the scalp of the Nemean lion as a headdress, the open jaws and mane rendered in fine detail over the crown and trailing behind the neck. The hero's clean-shaven features display the idealized Lysippan physiognomy associated with the Alexander coinage, with a strong jaw, full lips, and a broad brow. The lion's forelegs are knotted at the throat, and the pelt drapes naturalistically over the back of the head. The field is plain, with no legend or inscription, conforming to the standard Alexandrine drachm obverse type. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned to the left on a low backless throne, his body draped from the waist, his right arm extended forward presenting an eagle, and his left hand resting on a long upright sceptre. The god's himation falls over his lap and legs, and his bare torso and muscular frame are rendered with classical dignity. The legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field. A monogram control mark appears in the left field and a second control symbol is placed below the throne, both serving as mint or magistrate identifiers characteristic of the Abydus issue struck under Antigonus I Monophthalmus. |
