The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the coin as issued in the name of Alexander. In the left field appears a monogram serving as a mint or magistrate control mark, while a club symbol occupies the right field below the legend as a secondary control mark.
