Reverse description Zoroastrian fire altar flanked by two attendant figures in the Sasanian tradition, the altar depicted in characteristic stepped form with flames rising from the top. The two standing guards or priests face inward toward the altar, each holding a staff or lance. A beaded or pellet border encircles the design. Pahlavi inscription in the margin denotes the mint name and regnal year, following standard Sasanian administrative coinage practice.
