Reverse description An eagle displayed in flight occupies the upper portion of the reverse field, with broadly spread wings rendered in fine feathered detail, swooping downward toward a dolphin depicted below in the lower field. Between and around the figures, the ethnic inscription ΙΣΤΡΙΗ appears along with magistrates' initials Δ and ΑΥΡ distributed in the field. The composition is typical of Istrian civic coinage, symbolising the city's maritime identity and the wealth of the Black Sea fisheries. The style reflects competent late Classical Greek engraving.
