Drachm

Rithymna was a minor Cretan polis whose independent coinage output was limited and relatively short-lived, squeezed between the dominant minting activity of Knossos and Gortyna. The city's silver issues are poorly documented in the ancient literary record, and attribution has relied almost entirely on numismatic analysis — the SNG Copenhagen and Svoronos references remain the primary anchors for any specimen.

Fewer than a handful of die studies have been attempted on this type, leaving the chronology approximate at best.
