Obverse description Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in robust, high-relief style characteristic of Thessalian coinage of the mid-second century BC. The hair is full and wavy, swept back from the forehead, with the laurel wreath clearly articulated atop the head. The full beard is rendered with deeply engraved, flowing locks, and the facial features display a strong, mature profile with a prominent brow and aquiline nose. The field is plain, with the design filling the flan in the bold, expressive tradition of Magnesian die-cutters.

Reverse description Artemis, clad in short hunting costume with a quiver visible over her right shoulder, seated to the right upon the prow of a galley. She holds a bow in her right hand, her pose reflecting the deity's role as huntress and patron of the Magnesian league. To the right of the prow, a dolphin swims downward, a symbol evoking the maritime associations of Magnesia. Above, the monogram ΩΜΥ appears in the upper field, serving as a magistrate's or mint official's mark. The ethnic legend ΜΑΓΝΗ ΤΩΝ is disposed in the field, identifying the issuing community.
