Obverse description Draped female head facing right, her hair bound with a wreath of wheat ears, evoking a Demeter-type effigy. Two dolphins are depicted to the right of the portrait, their curved bodies following the contour of the field, while a crescent symbol appears to the left. The style reflects the Hellenistic engraving tradition of the Greek colonial mints of the western Mediterranean. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered coinage of this period.
