This drachm falls within the turbulent period when Corinth was controlled by Ptolemy I's general Ptolemy son of Lagus, who seized the city as part of the broader scramble for Greek territory following Alexander's death. Corinthian silver of this window is notoriously difficult to sequence precisely; the BCD collection, sold at Leu in 2006, remains the benchmark for die-linking these transitional issues, and BCD 150 sits near the boundary between civic and Macedonian-influenced production phases.
