| Descrizione del rovescio | A fully armored horseman, helmeted and wearing a cuirass with pteruges, charges vigorously to the right astride a galloping horse whose forelegs are raised. The rider extends a long spear horizontally to the left in his right hand, the weapon projecting well beyond the horse's chest, while his left arm bears a round shield pressed against his body. Below the horse, between its legs, the ethnic legend is divided in two lines: OP above and ΚΙΒΥΡΑΤΩΝ below, identifying this issue as a civic emission of the Kibyratans. The composition conveys dynamic martial energy typical of Hellenistic Asia Minor coinage. |
