| Description du revers | The royal French coat of arms, consisting of a shield semé of fleurs-de-lis arranged three-two-one in the traditional France Moderne heraldic disposition, is depicted centrally and surmounted by an elaborate royal crown. The shield rests within a plain cartouche. The surrounding Latin legend SIT NOMEN DOMINI BENEDICTVM (Blessed be the Name of the Lord) encircles the design, with the date 1690 and the Paris mint mark A incorporated into the legend at the top of the coin. A milled border frames the entire reverse. |
