Beschrijving voorzijde Left-facing draped bust of Pope Clement VIII in high relief, wearing the papal cope richly decorated with ornamental embroidery and a small medallion visible at the lower left of the vestment. The effigy is rendered in a bold, naturalistic late Renaissance style characteristic of late 16th-century Italian hammered coinage. A beaded inner border frames the portrait, with the circular Latin legend distributed around the periphery reading CLEMENS VIII PONT MAX, interrupted by small pellet stops. The letter G appears in the right field as a mint or engraver mark.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central shield bearing the armorial device of Charles of Conti, surmounted by a cardinal's hat with pendant tassels arranged on either side in the traditional heraldic manner. The escutcheon displays a complex quartered coat of arms featuring architectural and figural elements, executed in the hammered style with considerable relief. The shield is set within a plain inner field, surrounded by a beaded border. The circular Latin legend reads CAR D COMIT EPS ANCON PROL AVEN, distributed around the full periphery with pellet stops, identifying Charles of Conti as Bishop of Ancona and Pro-Legate of Avignon.
