The monogram fills the flan with sweeping interlocked strokes typical of hammered provincial coinage. The legend is executed in thuluth script with bold relief, the whole contained within a plain border. The irregular flan and characteristic die-sinking show the workmanship of the Aleppo provincial mint. |
