| 正面描述 | Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic religious inscription in Maghrebi script, boldly struck in raised relief on an irregular flan. The legend is arranged in stacked horizontal lines within the central area, surrounded by a circular marginal inscription along the inner rim. Typical of Alaouite hammered dirhams, the lettering exhibits the characteristic angular and cursive forms of 18th-century Moroccan epigraphy. The flan shows natural irregularities consistent with hand-hammering technique. The overall style is purely epigraphic with no figurative elements. |

Sidi Mohammed III — more precisely Mohammed ben Abdallah — established a new weight standard for the Moroccan dirham during his reign partly to facilitate commercial exchange with European trading partners, particularly following his founding of Essaouira in 1765 as a controlled Atlantic port. The Tangier mint's output from this period is distinguishable by mint name and tends to appear in smaller quantities than Fes or Marrakesh issues, reflecting its secondary role in the monetary infrastructure of the Alaoui sultanate.
The C#32.11 attribution places this among the first standardization effort before later weight adjustments altered the series.
