Obverse description Irregular hammered silver flan bearing multiple lines of boldly struck Arabic calligraphic legend occupying the entire field, executed in a characteristic Naskh-influenced hand typical of Muzaffarid coinage. The inscriptions, arranged in horizontal registers, carry the royal titulature and Islamic profession of faith. Small pellet or star ornaments serve as separators between lines of text. The legend is set within a plain linear border that follows the irregular contour of the flan.
