Reverse description Reverse of this irregular hammered dirham displays multiple horizontal registers of Arabic script in the field, presenting additional elements of the royal titulature and mint or regnal formulae consistent with Muzaffarid dynastic coinage practice. The lower portion of the flan features a partial beaded or dotted border, partially visible due to the irregular shape of the planchet. The strike is characteristic of medieval Islamic hand-struck coinage, with areas of weakness and flan irregularity typical of the series.
