An encircling benedictory or greeting legend frames the design in the outer field. The inscription is rendered in Arabic script in a style characteristic of Seljuk coinage of Anatolia. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Within a beaded circle, the Sultan's titulature is arranged in four lines of Arabic text, divided into two registers by a central arabesque ornament. The calligraphy follows the Naskh or Kufic traditions typical of Seljuk hammered silver coinage of the mid-thirteenth century. The fields surrounding the beaded border are plain. |
