The design fills the irregular planchet edge-to-edge, as is typical of early seventeenth-century Ottoman akçe coinage. The strike is slightly off-center, with portions of the tughra extending to the flan edge, a common characteristic of hand-struck Ottoman dirhams of this period. |

The inscription records the accession year of Sultan Osman II as 1027 AH, along with the mint name Çança (also known as Gümüşhane), a silver-mining town in northeastern Anatolia. The legends are struck in relief on a flat field, characteristic of hammered Ottoman coinage of the early seventeenth century. The text is arranged in horizontal registers, though the off-center strike causes partial legend loss at the periphery. |
