| Obverse description | The tughra of Sultan Osman II occupies the entire field of this hammered silver coin, rendered in the characteristic Ottoman calligraphic style with bold, interlocking strokes. The tughra features the distinctive sülüs script loops and sweeping upward extensions known as tuğ, converging toward the upper portion of the flan. The design fills the irregular planchet edge-to-edge, as is typical of early seventeenth-century Ottoman akçe coinage. The strike is slightly off-center, with portions of the tughra extending to the flan edge, a common characteristic of hand-struck Ottoman dirhams of this period. |

| Reverse description | The reverse bears multiple lines of Arabic-script legends in the Ottoman calligraphic tradition, densely arranged across the irregular flan. The inscription records the accession year of Sultan Osman II as 1027 AH, along with the mint name Çança (also known as Gümüşhane), a silver-mining town in northeastern Anatolia. The legends are struck in relief on a flat field, characteristic of hammered Ottoman coinage of the early seventeenth century. The text is arranged in horizontal registers, though the off-center strike causes partial legend loss at the periphery. |
