Obverse description Central field dominated by a large six-pointed star (hexagram) formed by two interlaced triangles, with beaded borders along each arm. Within the star, a multi-line Arabic religious or honorific legend in Naskh script occupies the central band. The triangular points of the star contain additional Arabic inscriptions or ornamental devices. The area between the star points and the circular rim is filled with further Arabic lettering arranged in the interstices, all within a plain outer border.
