| Descrizione del dritto | Central field occupied by a bold, multi-line Arabic legend executed in relief in the characteristic Maghrebi calligraphic style, reading the name and title of the sultan Moulay Abd al-Rahman, Commander of the Faithful. The inscription is arranged in three horizontal lines within an unbordered, irregular flan typical of hammered coinage. The letters are deeply struck and display the cursive, interlocking strokes characteristic of Moroccan Sharifian dirham production of the early 19th century. The flan edges are irregular and slightly ragged, consistent with hand-cut planchets of this period. |

The inscription is arranged centrally on the irregular flan in bold Maghrebi script, with the word 'ضرب' (struck) at the top, followed by 'بمكناس' (in Meknes), and the Hijri date at the base. The overall fabric is consistent with hammered silver production, showing slight weakness at the periphery due to the hand-striking process. The field is plain with no additional decorative devices. |
