Obverse description Central field contains a four-line Arabic Kufic kalima inscription reading: 'adl / la ilaha illa / Allah wahdahu / la sharika lahu (Justice / There is no god but / God alone / He has no partner). The text is arranged in horizontal registers occupying the full field, with no border visible on this irregularly shaped flan. The script is angular Kufic, typical of early Ghaznavid silver coinage.
