| Opis rewersu | The reverse field is entirely covered with multiple horizontal registers of Arabic script in a mixed Kufic and Naskhi style, densely filling the flan to its irregular edges. The inscription records the names and titles of the three Seljuq rulers (the three brothers) who held joint authority over the Syrian emirate during this period. No figural imagery, symbols, or decorative borders are present, consistent with orthodox Islamic numismatic convention. The lettering is bold and raised, exhibiting the characteristic cursive flourishes of late eleventh- to early twelfth-century Syrian Seljuq coinage. The overall layout is crowded, with legends extending to the very rim of the irregularly shaped planchet. |
