| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold Kufic script, filling the flan from edge to edge. The legends are arranged in horizontal registers across the flat field, with no decorative border or frame visible. The inscription references Islamic religious formulae and sultanic titulature, characteristic of Seljuq coinage of the period. The strike is typical of hammered Islamic dirhams, resulting in a slightly irregular flan with uneven margins. The relief of the lettering is bold and well-defined despite the irregular planchet. |

The inscription records the names and titles of the three Seljuq rulers (the three brothers) who held joint authority over the Syrian emirate during this period.
