Obverse description Irregular hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic epigraphic legend distributed across the field in bold thuluth-style script. The legend names the Ilkhanid ruler Ghazan Mahmud Khan with his honorific titles, reading 'The great khan Qazan Sultan Mahmoud, may God perpetuate his sultanate,' with the mint name Konya (Quniya) incorporated within the inscription. The lettering fills the coin's surface with characteristic Anatolian Seljuk-influenced calligraphic style, and the field shows the typical uneven strike of a hammered issue.
