The legend is distributed across several horizontal lines filling the flan, with bold raised characters against an unadorned field. A partial beaded or dotted border is visible along the coin's periphery. The overall strike is typical of hammered Ilkhanid dirhams, showing slight weakness at the irregular edges of the flan.

The dirham issues bearing his name continued to be struck posthumously under his successor Teküder, which accounts for the emission range extending past his death year.
