Obverse description The obverse displays three horizontal lines of Arabic script in the central field, rendered in a bold cursive hand typical of Golden Horde coinage. The uppermost line bears the name and title of Khan Tokhtamysh, with the word 'Sultan' prominently featured. Decorative pellets punctuate the spaces between the lines of text. The legend fills the flan with no surrounding border, consistent with hammered steppe coinage of the late 14th century.

Reverse description The reverse presents a central cartouche containing stylized Arabic script arranged in a geometric, pseudo-Kufic or square script pattern characteristic of Mongol-period coinage. Below the cartouche, a curved inscription band bears the mint name Sygnaq in Arabic script. Additional marginal or field inscriptions with decorative pellets surround the central device, following the standard typology of Golden Horde silver dangs struck at the Sygnaq mint.
