The upper portion of the field features a distinctive decorative architectural or geometric motif with vertical strokes above the main legend. Small pellet ornaments flank and separate the text lines, typical of Golden Horde hammered coinage of the mid-14th century. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edge, consistent with hand-struck production. |

| Opis rewersu | Central field divided into three lines of Arabic script reading 'Zarb / Saray al-Jadid / 746' (Struck / New Saray / 746 AH), presented in a rounded Naskh-influenced style characteristic of Golden Horde mint production. The mint name and Hijri date identify the place and year of striking at the New Saray mint on the lower Volga. An interlaced rope or chain border frames the inscription field, a typical decorative device on Jani Beg dirhams. The flan edges are irregular, reflecting the hand-hammered technique used for this denomination. |
