Obverse description Central field bearing the tamga of Batu's house enclosed within a circle. A knot-of-happiness motif is positioned below the tamga, flanked on either side by decorative ornaments. The design follows the established heraldic and symbolic conventions of Golden Horde coinage.

Reverse description A square cartouche inscribed with a three-line Arabic legend is set within a circle, the outer segments of which contain four knot-of-happiness ornaments placed at the cardinal points. The mint name and regnal date appear below the cartouche, identifying the place of issue as Bulghar and the year of striking as AH 728.
