| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field contains a multi-line Arabic mint and date legend in Naskh or Kufic-influenced script, recording the place of striking and the AH year of issue. The mint formula reads 'duriba bi-Khwarizm sana...' (struck at Khwarizm in the year...), with the regnal year varying by variety: AH 669 (Sagdeeva #31) or AH 676 (Sagdeeva #32). The inscription occupies the majority of the flan, with no figural devices, consistent with the anonymous and aniconic coinage tradition of the Golden Horde under Mangu Timur. The flan is irregular with uneven surfaces and edge irregularities typical of hand-hammered production. |
