Reverse description Central field displays a multi-line Arabic Kufic inscription in horizontal registers within a plain inner circle, closely imitating the reverse type of Samanid dirhams. The inscription, partially worn, references the Abbasid caliph and local ruler in the manner conventional to Samanid-style coinage, with the name of the amir Yiltawar rendered in degenerate form. A circular marginal legend in Arabic Kufic script occupies the border zone between two beaded rings, though portions are lost to the irregular flan edges. The die engraving reflects the characteristic clumsiness of provincial imitative workshops, with letterforms that diverge from classical Kufic canon while remaining recognizable. Surface shows natural silver patina with areas of wear and slight flatness from the hammering process.
