A circular marginal legend surrounds the central inscription, incorporating the mint name Ramhurmuz and the AH date (128 AH) within the formula 'Bismillah, this dirham was struck at Ramhurmuz in the year one hundred and twenty-eight.' The script is angular Kufic, neatly arranged in horizontal registers. The flan is slightly uneven, typical of hand-struck Umayyad silver dirhams.
