The primary legend occupies the inner field in multiple lines of angular Kufic script, proclaiming the declaration of faith. A circular marginal legend in Kufic script surrounds the central inscription, separated by a plain linear border. The coin exhibits the characteristic flat, broad flan typical of Umayyad reformed silver dirhams introduced under Abd al-Malik.
