Obverse description Entirely epigraphic composition featuring the Shahada and Quranic inscriptions arranged in concentric circles within the central field. The primary legend occupies the inner field in multiple lines of angular Kufic script, proclaiming the declaration of faith. A circular marginal legend in Kufic script surrounds the central inscription, separated by a plain linear border. The coin exhibits the characteristic flat, broad flan typical of Umayyad reformed silver dirhams introduced under Abd al-Malik. No figural or symbolic imagery is present, consistent with the aniconic monetary reform of AH 79.
