A circular marginal legend in Kufic script encircles the central inscription within a dotted or beaded border, typical of the Arminiya (Armenia) provincial mint series. The mint name Arminiya and a date are indicated within the marginal band, following the standard format of Abd al-Malik's monetary reform coinage.
