Reverse description Central field displays multiple lines of Arabic Kufic script arranged horizontally within a plain inner circle, containing the standard Umayyad reverse formula referencing the Prophet Muhammad and the mission of Islam. A circular marginal legend in Kufic script encircles the central inscription within a dotted or beaded border, typical of the Arminiya (Armenia) provincial mint series. The mint name Arminiya and a date are indicated within the marginal band, following the standard format of Abd al-Malik's monetary reform coinage. The flan is slightly irregular and the strike shows typical characteristics of a provincial hammered issue. No subsidiary symbols or decorative elements are present beyond the inscriptions.
