The layout adheres strictly to the standard Abbasid epigraphic reverse type established by the monetary reform of Abd al-Malik, with no pictorial or figural imagery. The letterforms throughout are flat and unmodelled, consistent with provincial mint production under the authority of the Abbasid central administration. |
