Reverse description The reverse follows the same tripartite concentric layout as the obverse, presenting Arabic Kufic inscriptions across central and marginal registers. The central field carries the second part of the Shahada: 'Muhammad rasul Allah' (Muhammad is the Messenger of God), arranged in horizontal lines. The inner circular legend contains a Quranic reference (Quran 9:33), and the outer marginal legend records the mint name and Hijri date of issue. A plain linear border separates the central and marginal fields, consistent with the reformed Umayyad-derived Abbasid dirham standard established under the caliph al-Mansur.
