| Beschrijving keerzijde | Purely epigraphic reverse of Shaddadid dynastic type, executed in raised Kufic script on an irregular hammered flan. The central field bears five lines of Arabic legend naming the ruler al-Amir al-Sayyid al-Mansur Fadl ibn Muhammad al-Shaddadi. A single marginal legend running around the field repeats the Quranic verse of Surah al-Tawba (9:33), enclosed within a plain linear border and a beaded outer rim consistent with contemporary Islamic coinage practice. |
