| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field contains a rectangular cartouche enclosing a four-line Arabic inscription in relief, with the Shahada in the upper two lines, followed by the name of the local ruler Abish bint Sa'd in the lower portion. The margin bears the Basmala along with the mint name and date. The script is a characteristic Ilkhanid-period cursive Arabic, boldly struck in high relief against a flat field. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped at the edges, typical of hammered silver dirhams of this period and region. |
