Diobol - Sparadokos

Sparadokos ruled the Odrysian kingdom as a subordinate king under his brother Sitalces, whose realm at its height stretched from the Aegean coast deep into Thrace — the largest territorial power in the Balkans during the fifth century BC. These small silver fractions circulated within a kingdom that Greek historians acknowledged as a significant political force yet left frustratingly underdocumented in comparison to its Aegean neighbors.
