Obverse description Forepart of a winged boar advancing to the right, depicted in high relief with finely detailed plumage on the wings rendered in parallel incised lines. The creature's snout, bristled crest, and muscular forequarters are rendered with characteristic Archaic-period naturalism. The figure occupies the full field of the flan, with no legend or border present. The style is consistent with the artistic conventions of Ionian mints during the late Archaic and early Classical periods.
