Obverse description Central field displays a stylized castle or tower motif rendered in the Gothic hammered tradition, with crenellations visible at the top. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, around which runs the peripheral legend in Gothic Romanesque lettering. The overall fabric is irregular and slightly dumpy, characteristic of medieval Navarrese hammered billon coinage. The field shows typical die wear and surface porosity consistent with a 13th-century circulation piece.
