| Opis rewersu | A passant lion in high relief occupies the centre of the coin, facing right, its mane rendered with curling foliage-like detail, set within a tressure of eight Gothic arches adorned with trefoil finials and a cross ornament at the apex. The peripheral Latin legend ET LEGIONIS encircles the design between the tressure and an outer beaded border. The hammered flan is slightly irregular and exhibits characteristic medieval die wear, consistent with the billon coinage of Alfonso X. |
