| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a large square cartouche containing multiple horizontal lines of Arabic religious and dynastic inscriptions in Naskh script, including the Shahada and Quranic verses. A single line of Arabic text appears in the narrow margin above the square, with additional marginal inscriptions running along the outer border of the flan. The coin is framed by a continuous beaded border. The overall design follows the characteristic Marinid epigraphic style, with no figural imagery, relying entirely on calligraphic ornamentation for its aesthetic impact. |
