| Reverse description | Aniconic reverse displaying multiple lines of Kufic Arabic script in the central field, recording the mint formula, regnal date, and the name of the governor Musa bin 'Isa responsible for the issue. The central inscription is enclosed within a single circular line border, with a marginal legend running around the periphery in Kufic script. A dotted border follows the coin's edge. The raised Kufic lettering, struck on an irregular flan by hammer, is characteristic of Abbasid administrative coinage of the late 2nd century AH. |
