The field inscription occupies the majority of the coin's surface and reads: 'la ilah illa allah / muhammad rasul allah / 'ali wali allah'. A marginal legend encircles the field, containing a Quranic verse (Quran 9:33) referencing divine guidance and the supremacy of the true religion. The script is angular and densely packed, characteristic of Nizari Ismaili coinage of the Alamut period. |
