A circular marginal legend in Kufic script encircles the central field, with a further outer band of inscription separated by concentric borders. The overall style closely follows Fatimid and Umayyad dinar prototypes adapted for Andalusian taifa production, with fine Kufic lettering on a slightly irregular gold flan. |
